And another book I enjoyed. I really do find it hard to believe this is the same man who wrote the atrocious [book: The Years of Rice and Salt].
The science in the book is really interesting and I'm very curious how much of it is real. It certainly sounds plausible. Robinson does a really good job of including a lot of science without making it too dry to wade through.
I admit I was concerned that Frank would be the main character in the second book as he was easily the character I found most annoying from the first book but it actually worked pretty well. I still would have liked a little more about Charlie and Joe (I know, I actually want to know more about a child, how strange is that?)
I also found the idea of a shadow candidate very interesting. I'm not sure how plausible it would actually be in the US, but an interesting idea all the same.
