The craft that released the spores in the first book is back and this time it's trying different strains to try and avoid detection by the military and Dawesy.
I didn't like this book as much as the first one. I like the growing relationship between Dew and Dawsey.
Vanessa Colburn's naive idealism really grated. I don't think you can get that far in politics and still be that naive about human nature. Generally speaking, I think honesty is the best policy, but I recognize that sometimes secrecy is necessary. It might not have been quite as bad if Montoya wasn't acting the same way through the majority of the book.
